Warning: baby fever triggers up ahead! I mean really, is there anything sweeter than a brand new baby?! For the first newborn session featured on the blog, it only felt right to spotlight our girl, Isla Dove. Our best friends, Kelly and Gunnar, had a sweet baby girl and she is the most precious thing!
In-home newborn sessions hold a special place in my heart and here’s why:
- It eliminates the need to travel. As a new mama you have enough things going on, there is no reason to add packing a bag full of diapers, outfit changes, and all the other essentials into a bag, packing baby up in the carseat and driving to a studio to that list. So, I come to you instead!
- It’s calm, comfortable, and quiet. Baby is in their own room, in their own crib, and in their normal environment, which is better for everyone!
- We get to forever document the place that you brought your baby home to. Maybe this is your forever dream home, or maybe this is your home in this chapter of life, either way this is the home you brought your new family member to in the first days of life. You’ll always remember this space. In home newborn sessions let us document those precious nursery moments – the space where you held those late-night feedings and where you rocked your baby to sleep.
