“to new beginnings…”

If you’re looking for inspiration on how to keep your wedding intimate and unique, this is the post for you!

Robbie and Sydney’s story is the epitome of small town romance. They met while working at Doster Country Store in Plainwell, dated for a few years, and then on August 17th Robbie proposed in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in front of the chapel that Sydney’s parents got married at 25 years ago. As if it couldn’t get more romantic, they chose one of my favorite types of venues for their big day – their own backyard! While, I love the intimacy of a backyard wedding, head here for inspiration on other unique Michigan venues that I love as well!

Robbie and Sydney built a beautiful home in the country and transformed it into the most stunning backdrop for their wedding day! The weather was beautiful for their outdoor ceremony on the property, complete with haystacks and a wooden arch, it was the farmhouse wedding many dream of.

They opted for a small, intimate crowd, but you’d never know it by the celebration that was had at the reception. They catered Qdoba for dinner and it was a huge hit with the guests (if you’re looking for a way to infuse some personality into your big day, the meal is a great way to do that) and the dance floor was packed all evening! All in all, their day was filled with so much joy, celebration, and anticipation for the life they are starting together, and it was such an honor to capture their wedding day!
