“I never imagined that my best friend would be my perfect soul mate, yet it’s the best thing that happened to me in my entire life”
They say best friends make the best lovers, and in this case, that couldn’t be more true! Jared and Lauren met in 7th grade. Lauren says “it was the curly hair and skinny jeans that drew me in” LOL.
Jared and Lauren went through ebbs and flows of friendship throughout high school. They reconnected during their junior year, even going to senior prom together with their own respective dates. Fast forward to college, they finally got their shot at romance and after dozens of coffee dates, Jared made it official when he asked Lauren to be his girlfriend on April 19, 2016, and now they are celebrating their engagement!
For their engagement shoot, we went to Gorby Sunflower Fields and Lillian Anderson Arboretum. Lillian Anderson was an extra special location as that’s where Jared popped THE question. Photographing Jared and Lauren was especially sweet since Lauren and I have known each other since middle school and Jared’s dad is the pastor at my childhood church, and I am so honored and excited to be capturing their wedding in October 2022!
